Watch out, we’ve got a triple threat on our hands! Meet Vanessa, one of ChicTique’s newest models. In addition to modeling, Vanessa’s talents include drawing and making music. She plays the guitar and piano, and tells us she can spend the whole day singing at the top of her lungs!
Vanessa favors a natural face when she’s not working the camera, using only concealer and a few strokes of mascara. She loves playing around with accessories to dress up her everyday fashion. She uses colors like bold greens or seriously sexy pinks to take her style from feminine and flirty to punk rock edgy, depending on her mood. To polish it off, she goes for a pair of killer heels or casually cool boots.
We think this multi-talented model-musician has what it takes to bring her own spin to every ChicTique outfit!
Peplum dresses and tops first burst onto the current style scene last spring, when a number of celebrities were spotted wearing this fun and flirty style. Designed to create curves on slimmer silhouettes or highlight your natural assets for fuller figured gals, the peplum style features ruffle details at the waist, adding an hourglass look to a simple A-line or fitted silhouette. No matter what your body type, the peplum dress or top is the perfect choice when you’re looking to add a little va-va-voom to your figure and fashion style.
While peplum styles don’t necessarily require the bold, skin-baring confidence of crop tops, this look does require some careful consideration. Think about how far you want to go. Do you crave big, fluffy ruffles or are you just looking for a small, feminine flair to add a bit of shape to a classic or fitted silhouette? There are plenty of peplum dresses and tops in all manner of fabric types, colors, and prints, as well as some that are subtle and some that offer the voluminous drama of a serious ruffle. Decide on how big you want to go, then find the peplum design of your style dreams!
Peplum dresses and tops are perfect for nearly every occasion, from a casual dinner date to a rustic country wedding. This feminine look is stylish while still being quite comfortable, and offers a bit of whimsy to otherwise serious solid or floral styles. Peplum dresses and tops are a way to bring in some chic and flirty styling to your wardrobe, while still remaining classy and picture perfect!
Sure, our clothes always look fly, but did you ever wonder who makes our models looks so fab? Meet Laura Garcia, of LA di DA, the talented makeup artist behind each of our ChicTique faces!
Laura is a total pro and a master in MAC Cosmetics, with over 8 years experience in making up models for photo shoots like ours, where we shoot everything on our site. Laura was recently honored with Reno’s 2012 Makeup Artist of the Year award, so we’re thrilled to have such a shining star working her magic and applying her slightly retro, urban, and always cutting-edge looks.
Meet Traci, one of ChicTique’s newest models! Traci is a Nevada girl through and through: she loves country music and tucking in to a hearty meal of her mom’s goulash or a dinner of steak and potatoes. When she’s not modeling the latest styles, Traci likes to keep it relaxed and comfy but still chic, favoring maxi dresses, leggings, and big chunky sweaters.
To dress it up a bit, Traci relies on eye liner and shimmer dust as her go to beauty products to accentuate her big brown eyes.
With her natural brunette beauty, we bet Traci looks great in anything she throws on, and we’re thrilled to have her modeling our fave styles!
With this season’s fab colored shorts, forget your basic baby blue denim shorts and leave the khakis in the closet! This summer is all about bringing the bright to your bodacious bod, which means colored shorts in a range of fun styles and head-turning hues. This look is easy to dress up or down, which makes it a super versatile staple for a busy summer calendar of picnics, parties, and casual beach get-togethers with friends. Wear your shorts long or short, and feel free to dress them up with heels or keep the look chill with a pair of ‘flops and a perfect pedi. No matter what your style, this fun, flirty trend is easy to make your own, so get creative with your color!
Colored shorts were everywhere this spring at Coachella, the mega-music festival attended by celebrities and well-styled civilians alike. Bright colors and bare legs are perfect for a day outside in the sun listening to music, which is probably why model Alessandra Ambrosio came correct in a pair of eye-catching salmon cutoffs that paired perfectly with her bronze skin and easy summer vibe.
For a slightly dressier look, you can also pair colored shorts with a conservative closed toe oxford or pump, and even a light, linen blazer. Rashida Jones sported this preppy-chic look with a graphic print blouse and dreamy teal shorts after a recent daytime talk show gig. While this look might be a little too edgy for a job interview, it’s totally worth pulling off for a family brunch or bridal shower. Complete the look with low-key accessories and let the shorts be your stand out feature. For an easy transition from day to night, wear a sexy tank top or any shade of this season’s shimmery crop tops beneath the blazer, then let your shoulders bare for meeting friends for drinks or dancing the summer night away.
One of our fav (and first) models is gracing the pages of ChicTique again. Being a powerhouse of brains (she’s graduating from college this year) and beauty, Arriauna keeps it all together by remaining dedicated and disciplined in her daily life.
We have always been adamant and proud that we photograph every single item we carry at Chictique, with photo shoots playing an important part of who we are and how we want to capture fashion trends and styling for our customers.
